About The Stand Report

I bought every stand on this list with my own money and lived with them for six weeks.

The Stand Report exists because accessory reviews are usually written from spec sheets. We do the opposite: we buy products at retail, use them in the rooms people actually use them in, and report what changed after six weeks rather than what impressed us on day one.

How we test

Every stand is used with the same four devices — a 6.1in phone in a case, a 6.8in phone, a 10.9in tablet and a handheld console — across a kitchen counter, a home desk, a sofa side table and a car. Scores weigh stability, device range, angle range, durability, charging access and value per year.

Where our data comes from

Prices, star ratings and review counts for retail products are captured from the retailer's own listing and date-stamped on the page. They change frequently, so the retailer's page is always authoritative at the moment you click.

How we're funded

We earn commission when readers buy through links on this site, at no extra cost to the reader. Commission never determines rank order, and no brand has ever paid for placement, previewed a review, or been given editing rights.
