Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, addresses or payment details. Our analytics records aggregate usage: pages viewed, approximate region, device type, referring site, and which links were clicked.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which articles are useful. It sets cookies and processes IP addresses. You can block it with browser settings, an extension, or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Affiliate tracking

Outbound links to retailers carry tracking parameters so a purchase can be attributed to this site. The retailer then applies its own cookies and privacy policy, which we do not control. Read theirs before purchasing.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold. Because we hold no directly identifying data about readers, such requests are usually satisfied by clearing cookies for this domain and opting out of analytics.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

We update this policy when our tooling changes. The version on this page is the current one.
